MFPS 24

This form should be completed and submitted to register for MFPS 24.

Hotel rooms for the conference are being held only until April 20, so we recommend
registering as soon as possible to assure a room at the conference hotel.

The 2008 Conference on the Mathematical Foundations of Programming Semantics will begin on Thursday, May 22 and end at midday on Sunday, May 25. The meeting will be preceded by a Tutorial Day on Category Theory and Computer Science on Wednesday, May 21. There is no fee to attend the Tutorial Day.

Registration for MFPS 24 includes a Reception for the participants on Thursday, May 22. It also includes a copy of the Proceedings of the conference, as well as refreshments at breaks between talks.

Women, minority participants and graduate students are encouraged to attend, and we have limited funds to help defray some of the participation costs of these participants. If you are a member of one of these groups, then please indicate this below if you need some assistance, and try to quantify what this would entail. We are most able to help offset participation costs in those instances when a participant's home institution is contributing to their participation cost.

Social events:

There will be a reception for MFPS participants at the close of the first full day of the meeting, May 22. The cost of this event is included in the registration fee.

There also will be a conference dinner on Friday, May 23 at Le Castagne restaurant. The cost of this event is $75 per person, and the fee will be collected in addition to the registration fee.

Hotel arrangements for MFPS 24:

A block of rooms has been reserved for the meeting at the Club Quarters Hotel, 1628 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA. The conference rate for rooms is $99 per night for a "club size" double, and $114 per night for a "standard queen" room. There is an additional charge of 14% tax added to all hotel rooms. In order to obtain this rate, you must make your reservation with us, NOT with the hotel. We will collect the hotel room charges as part of your registration fee. To reserve a room, indicate your arrival and departure dates on this form, and then call us with your billing information.
Hotel room preferences:

  Club double - these rooms all have one double bed.

        Standard Queen - these rooms have either a queen-sized bed, or two twin beds.

You must complete your registration for MFPS by April 20 in order to obtain the conference rate at this hotel!!

The Club Quarters Hotel is located in the Center City area of Philadelphia. It is about a 20 minutes walk from the Penn campus. Here are alternative hotels in the same area. For the following, you should make your reservation directly with the hotel.
